Diamonds are forever, like memories of departed loved ones.
Relatives of a deceased person suffer a difficult time full of
grief, but comfort can still be found in memories.Specializing
in the art of preserving memories of beloved deceased,
Swiss-based company Algordanza offers an innovative servicethat turns human ashes into memorial diamonds. As a remarkable alternative to storing the cremated remains of a
loved one in an urn, Algordanza transforms the ashes of the
deceased into a permanent memento for their nearest
and dearest.
Algordanza, a Rhaeto-Romanic expression for "remembrance", started up in 2004 as the first company in Europe manufacturing precious gems out of human ashes.Over
the years, the company has expanded its service and is
now represented in 17 countries worldwide, including Japan
and Thailand.
Seeing business opportunity from the preservation of memory,
Algordanza uses advanced technology to extract carbon
from cremation ashes to produce chemically pure diamonds,
a symbol of great economic and sentimental value. Their
success is but one example of the business opportunities
shrouded in life's impermanence.
